Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry

“You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.”   Psalms 16:11

Praying for and with each other

The goal of a prayer ministry is not to do all the praying for the church, but to equip, enable, and encourage church members to pray continually and effectively while making prayer a part of everything they do.

Centering Prayer

God’s Presence Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us. Centering Prayer is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer, rather it adds depth of meaning to all prayer and facilitates the movement into a receptive prayer of resting in God. Come and sit with us every Monday at 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm in South Hall. Gus Galloway 352-572-9107 or Robin…

Intercessory prayer

Intercessory prayer is a prayer for others. An intercessor is one who takes the place of another or pleads another’s case. Prayer Team

For those needing personal prayer or those willing to pray for others, we offer prayer teams. Prayer during Eucharist is done in teams of two at the back of the sanctuary. Look for our prayer warriors they are ready and willing to pray with you. If you feel called to this ministry we welcome you to join the prayer team. Eleanor Curran 352-812-7894

Soaking Prayer

Soaking prayer is about experiencing intimacy with God. Through this kind of contemplative prayer, we set apart regular time exclusively to spend with our Heavenly Father. Intimacy with God begins when we diligently pursue Him with our whole heart. The sanctuary is open for this time with God each Thursday at 9:00 am Mary Galloway – 352-237-5552
